Then the kids and I spent yesterday after school and today (because they cancelled school due to our big snow) decorating the inside of the house.

We'll have to retire our tree after this year

Hee. I see that one present under the tree. You have much more willpower than I do, I'd have opened it when it arrived on the doorstep. :)
I did what you told me to do! Open the box, not the present, and put it under the tree. Plus it motivates me to get what we have bought wrapped and finish up my shopping. That one present looks lonely. :)
